ELYSIA Signs With FERRET MUSIC

July 24, 2007

Ferret Music has announced the signing of ELYSIA. The California-based deathcore outfit is composed of Zak Vargas (vocals),Mark Underwood (guitar),Steven Sessler (drums),Danny Lemonsqueeze (guitar) and Jeremy Chavez (bass) and formed four years ago. Despite their experience and history, the band members currently average at eighteen years old with guitarist Danny weighing in at just sixteen.

On signing to Ferret, Vargas says, "We are not only excited as fans of the label but as people. We spoke to other labels and they seemed not to understand our scene and were all business. Carl (Severson) at Ferret runs a top-notch label with a diverse roster of artists and also is a genuine person."

Carl Severson of Ferret said of the group, "There's a ton of bands out there right now doing anything they can do to get signed and then there are bands doing everything they can to just be a band. The latter bust their ass just to play shows and play their music, ELYSIA do their thing as hard as they can and I'm excited to be releasing their music."

The band, who have just completed a national tour with WITH BLOOD COMES CLEANSING, ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS and KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS, will enter the studio with Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE) this December to record their Ferret debut for a 2008 release.
